an origin of aphrodisiac

Take the Greek Goddess Test @ Rasberry Rain

WARNING: Miss Prudence doesn't even look a beauty let alone be called a sexual rapture

Omigod!can u believe that crap test?! This is what I dont like about those short quizzes in the internet. It's not you at all! You'd be asked silly questions and sometimes the answer is not even there to relate to it. I have never in my life get away with things using my my looks (charms, maybe..) but not looks. And sexual rapture?..hah! I don't think so! now, can I laugh like a howling mad hyena???????

But on a lighter note,.. I do like Aphrodite and the whole Greek mythology. Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, the delectable daughter of Zeus may look vulnerable and ravish but this is the goddess who was responsible of years and years of Trojan War. She was a unique and powerful deity whose power was unlike any other significant god/goddess like Athena or Apollo managed to create great instrument of power, which could affect all beings.

The so-called apple of discordance event (which eventually cause the Trojan War)

At Peleus and Thesis wedding, Eris (Strife) threw a golden apple into the midst of the guests. The apple bore the inscription "for the fairest" and a quarrel arose among Hera, Athena, and Aphrodite, with each goddess claiming the apple for herself. Eventually, they agreed to make Paris, a Trojan prince, arbiter of their dispute. All three goddesses offered Paris bribes; Aphrodite promised the most beautiful woman on Earth as his wife--this was Helen, wife of Menelaus, ruler of Sparta. Paris awarded the apple to Aphrodite and proceeded to abduct Helen.

Remember the story Helen of Troy? This is it.. a bribe which indirectly caused the war. Well, I dont know whether her decision was stupid, but its fun to know that a woman can actually caused it ..hehe..

She did however arranged lots of marriages; let his son Eros (Cupid) struck his arrows so people would fall head over heels in love, cared for orphaned daughters and used her power to destroy those who disrupt the natural working of love and sexuality like hemosexuality. She was also caused the Sirens to grow wings because their wishing to remain virgins. Hahahaha.. what a waste!

Aaphrodites charms came from her magic cestus, an embroidered girdles that aroused passion for the wearer. Her seductive abilities caused Zeus to have her for a wife. bodoh betul Zeus tu..anak sendiri pun nak kawen.. and punished her to marry this lame-smith god, Hephaestus. She had extra-marital affair afterwards with Ares, sepupu Hercules tu.. As a rebel goddess, it did nothing to change her behavior even trapped by her husbands and other gods. In Roman, they are known as Venus and Mars (in case ure wondering where John Gray got his book itles)

Guyswhere do you think the word aphrodisiac comes from? ;)

Note:
Err..anybody can think the subliminal meaning when I dreamed last night of Matt Damon who confessed his undying, one -sided love to this girl who looks like my electrical engineer?? Somebody..slap me hard! My exasperation over life has gone even more tattered in the last few days...ooh!

p/s: i think cute Mr. J, the cute project manager is trying to flirt with me..nyehahaha!come on babeh..!
